If I had to explain a video script or storyboard to an employer, I would say it is the plan for the video. It is like a map that shows what we are going to say, what we are going to show, and what order everything happens in.

The biggest benefit is saving time. Without a script or storyboard, people film a lot of random footage and hope it turns into something later. That usually leads to more reshoots, more edits, and more confusion. A script keeps the message focused, and a storyboard helps the team picture the visuals before filming.

It also helps teamwork. If multiple people are involved, a script and storyboard keeps everyone aligned. The person filming knows what shots to get. The person editing knows what the story is. The person approving the content can check the message before it gets posted. Overall it makes the final product clearer, more professional, and easier to repeat for future videos.
